This piece probably has the most interesting story. When this hit the shelves I got handful of very harsh phone messages from a woman claiming we were trying to subversively force Christianity into schools. I called her from my cell and tried to have a decent conversation which was bad idea. She must have had me on speed dial or something because I got a series of rabid, hate-filled phone calls where she called me the devil and tried to link us to a government conspiracy amongst other nonsense. She alerted her kids' schools as well as the media and tried to get it pulled from stores. Luckily we have very supportive customers who didn't respond to her antics.
I feel a strong spiritual connection to the Earth. At times that spirituality spills into my art and it's understandible that someone would see that. In fact, I hope they do, but it should in no way be construed as some bizarre right wing agenda. That is simply paranoid ignorance.
