I had been working on this for a couple days and finally gave up because I couldn't make it work. Soon afterward I went to a Russian submarine exhibit and was inspired by all the uniforms and posters I saw. The propaganda vibe brought it all together. Just goes to show it pays to get out of the studio every now and then.
