Illenium was just barely getting started when I came on board in 1999. The team was insane with veteran riders Al Partanen and Mike Peterson being pushed by young up and comers Greg Lutzka and Austen Seaholm. Illenium had a following of core fans and the brand was gaining strength in the community, but when 9/11 hit, the economy got weak, and things got shaky. After several years of charging hard the doors closed in 03.
Illenium was a release for me on a personal level. It allowed room for more grittty and angst ridden graphics which was a welcome alternative to all the flowers, waves, and stripes I did at Sector. Some of these graphics didn't go to print, but I put them here as an archive for myself and to show the contrast in subject matter.
